Ghosts'n Goblins (USA)
A Capcom classic, this game embodies the old side-scrollers of the 80's and 90's. The graphics are a bit low-quality compared to the arcade version, which is to be expected since the console is 8-bit and the year it was released was very early for the NES. The music is very catchy and I could listen to the soundtrack all day, and the stage one theme would go on to be a well known tune. The gameplay and controls are very nice even though they use less than conventional jumps and physics. There are lots of different weapons to collect throughout the stages which helps with replay value. Some may not like the difficulty (very difficult), but I'm one of those gamers who loves to find the hardest games and conquer them, so I enjoyed it. Overall, a great game, and a great start to a Capcom series.
